Uploaded Estimate Photos

If you upload a photograph of your collection with an estimate request, the image is used only to help us understand the size, type, or condition of the materials you may want digitized.

Estimate photographs are not used for advertising, social media, or promotional purposes without your separate permission.

Customer Photos, Videos, and Other Media

Customer photographs, albums, VHS recordings, and resulting digital files are treated as private customer materials.

Box to Browser does not publicly post, publish, or use customer media for advertising, portfolio examples, social media, or other promotional purposes without the customer's permission.

Digital working files may be created and temporarily stored as necessary to complete your project, prepare your USB or DVD copies, perform quality checks, and provide Private Family Archive access.

Private Family Archive

Completed orders include 90 days of Private Family Archive access.

After the initial 90-day period expires, the archive is retained for an additional 30-day grace period. If an annual extension is not purchased, the online archive is permanently deleted after 120 days.

Customers may download their files during the available access period. USB copies, downloaded files, and any purchased DVDs remain the customer's property after online archive access expires.

Service Providers

Box to Browser may use third-party technology providers to operate the website and provide services, including services for:

  • website hosting
  • file storage
  • database storage
  • email delivery
  • cloud infrastructure
  • security and spam prevention

These providers may process limited customer information only as necessary to provide those services.

Box to Browser may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requirements.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain customer and inquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including customer service, business records, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.

Optional estimate photographs and other information that is no longer necessary may be deleted as part of normal record cleanup.

The retention of completed Private Family Archives follows the separate 90-day access and 120-day deletion schedule described above unless the customer purchases an extension.

Box to Browser uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect customer information and digital files.

However, no website, storage system, internet connection, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
