A simple custom estimateSimple from start to finish
Submit an estimate request with a rough count or photo. We’ll be in touch within 7 days to discuss your collection and arrange the next steps.
After pickup or drop-off, we carefully count and review your collection, then send a final estimate. Handing it over does not commit you to the cost.
Digitization begins only after you approve the final estimate and service terms. We then digitize and organize the project and return every original with your USB copy and 90-day Private Family Archive.
More than scanning
We preserve the groupings and order you provide, create logical folders and filenames, and return your memories ready to browse—not as a confusing pile of files.
Clear, practical pricing
Different media types can be combined toward the $25 minimum project total.
High-resolution scanning, cropping and orientation, basic automatic correction, organized files, USB delivery, and 90 days of Private Family Archive access.

There is a $25 minimum project total, and a small project of around 50 photos is about $35. Larger photo projects are priced in roughly 50-photo increments, while standard VHS pricing is based on recorded duration. Send a rough idea of what you have and we’ll provide a starting estimate.
Not at all. A rough count—or even a quick photo of the box—is enough to begin. After your collection is brought in, we’ll carefully count and review it, then send a final estimate before any digitization begins.
We’ll respond to your initial website request within 7 days to discuss your collection and arrange the next steps. After pickup or drop-off, we bring the collection in for a careful count and condition review, then send your final estimate. Handing over the collection does not commit you to the quoted project cost. Each project stays separate, local, clearly labeled, and backed up while we work. Box to Browser uses reasonable care when transporting, handling, scanning, playing, and storing customer materials. Older photos, albums, standard VHS tapes, and adhesives may have pre-existing brittleness, mechanical wear, deterioration, or other conditions that are not always visible and may occasionally worsen during normal handling or playback. Box to Browser is not responsible for pre-existing damage, latent defects, or deterioration caused by the inherent age or condition of submitted materials despite reasonable care. If an item appears unusually fragile or unsafe to process, work on that item may be paused so we can contact you.
No. Box to Browser is intentionally local, and customer media is never mailed to a third-party processing warehouse. We arrange pickup or drop-off directly with you.

Box to Browser currently specializes in loose printed photographs, photo albums or scrapbooks, and standard VHS tapes. We do not currently support VHS-C, Hi8 or Video8, MiniDV, slides, negatives, 8mm or Super 8 film, or other formats that require different equipment.
Some aging or damaged tapes can still be digitized, but they need to be evaluated individually. We’ll discuss condition concerns and any additional work before proceeding; detailed restoration is not included in standard conversion.
Album photos are scanned in place whenever practical. Photos that are loose or easily removable may be scanned individually and returned to their original location. Box to Browser will not force, peel, or pry photographs from album pages or mounts.
We serve State College, Altoona, Bellefonte, Philipsburg, Clearfield, Lewistown, and surrounding Central Pennsylvania communities. State College-area pickup and return is complimentary; modest distance-based fees may apply elsewhere. Any applicable pickup or return fee will be included in your estimate before work begins.
Why Box to Browser
Box to Browser started with something I saw in my own family: shelves and boxes full of photo albums that some relatives had never even seen. Once those memories were digitized, suddenly everyone could look through them, ask questions, recognize people, and share pieces of family history that had been sitting out of reach for years.
That became the idea behind Box to Browser—helping Central Pennsylvania families take the memories they already have and make them easier to preserve, find, and share.
Bring us the box. We’ll handle the rest.
You don’t need an exact count. Send a photo or rough description of your collection and we’ll help you figure out the next step.
